With the weather so cold, my daughter asked for her favorite dinner... Chili! I can't think of a better dinner to throw together on a cold cold night.
Here is what you need:
1 lb Ground Beef (I use 85% or 90% lean)
1 package French's or Lawry's Chili seasoning
1 small onion chopped
1-2 cloves of garlic minced
1-2 tsp of chili powder
1 large can brooks hot beans
1 large can whole peeled tomatoes
1 small can crushed tomatoes
Brown the beef with the onion, garlic and chili powder. Drain the fat.
Stir in the chili seasoning. Then throw the rest of the ingredients in and bring to a boil.
Turn your burner down and simmer for 1.5 hours.
Enjoy and stay warm :)

My Family!
What Better way to start my blog than to introduce my family to you!
For the past 15 years, this guy has put up with my craziness. I have started projects that needed a couple extra hands and he has always been happy to help!
This is my little man. To protect his privacy (ha ha), we will call him Monkey! He is the most loving, caring, energetic, amazing young man. I love watching him grow and change... hard to believe he is 8 already! He loves to read, play video games (when Mom lets him) and takes TKD classes.
My little princess (or diva depending on the day). Peachy is a confident, loving, strong willed, caring, brilliant little girl. She absorbs every ounce of knowledge she can. She is 6 going on 16 and I love it! Although I could do without the sassy eye rolls. This was her first year in Poms and her team took second at state! The girl loves to dance!
Of course, we can't forget about the furry and feathered members of our family!
Willow is our beagle mix. Faith is a lab/terrier mix:
Luigi is our green parakeet:
Those are my loves and I am looking forward to sharing more with you!
Thanks for reading :)
